ANDROID v2.0.0

Recipejang

Recipejang 2.0 ranks recipes by what's in your fridge and lists only what's missing.

It's 6 p.m. You open the fridge, see half a bag of spinach, some eggs and an odd bit of cheese, and you still have to decide what to cook and what to pick up on the way home. Recipejang (레시피장) is an AI kitchen helper built for that moment. Version 2.0.0 is now live on Android, and it is a full overhaul of the app that used to be called "레시지-오늘 뭐 먹지?".

무엇이 달라졌나요

The release notes describe Recipejang 2.0 as a completely renewed kitchen helper. Here is what changed and how each change helps.

  • From fridge to cart. You photograph your fridge or type in your ingredients, and the AI recognizes what you have. Recipes are then sorted by the percentage of ingredients you already own, so the dishes you are closest to cooking come first. The ingredients you are missing go into a smart shopping list. The benefit is that you stop wondering what to cook and what to buy as two separate problems. The app answers both from the same starting point.
  • "What should I eat today?" by mood. Type a short line about your mood or situation and the app suggests meal ideas. The documentation also says you can photograph a food item and get a full recipe for it. This helps on the nights when you have no particular dish in mind, only a feeling about what you want.
  • Diet and allergy profile. The recipe book now includes a diet and allergy profile. Set it up once so it can inform what the app suggests. The release notes mention the profile but not exactly how it filters results, so check the settings in the app to see how it applies to your recipes.
  • Serving adjustment. You can scale a recipe to the number of people eating. This helps when you cook for one on weekdays and for a group on weekends.
  • Hands-free cooking mode with multiple timers. Each step is shown in large text, the screen is kept from turning off, and you can run several step timers at once. With floury or wet hands, you don't have to keep unlocking your phone.
  • 25 languages and a new design. The interface is available in 25 languages, listed at the end of this article, and the app has a refreshed look.

Here is how the main flow might go in practice. This is a suggested use, not a customer story, and I haven't tested the app myself. After work, you photograph the fridge. The AI lists the ingredients it recognized, and the recipe list reorders by how much you already have. You open a recipe with a high match, see which ingredients you own and which you need to buy, and send the missing items to your shopping list. The same list combines items from several recipes and groups them by store section, so a stop at the market is quicker.
