Can I Eat v1.5.0 ALL

Can I Eat 1.5.0: Ads Move Into Content, Sheets Open Above the Tab Bar

Version 1.5.0 moves ads into the content, adds stability fixes, and opens sheets above the tab bar.

What changed

Version 1.5.0 of Can I Eat is a layout and stability update. These are the changes from the release notes:

  • Ads now appear between content instead of in a fixed bar above the tabs. Screens have more room for what you came to read.
  • Stability improvements: stronger error handling and faster app startup. The app should hold up better when something goes wrong, and it should be quicker to open.
  • Pop-up sheets and new screens now open above the tab bar. They look cleaner and are less cluttered by the navigation underneath.

What kind of app this is

Can I Eat is for people with chronic conditions or allergies who want to know whether a meal is okay for them. You photograph a meal or scan a packaged food's barcode, and the app gives one verdict based on the conditions you registered.

Main features

  • Condition-aware meal verdict: the AI estimates the food and its nutrients from a photo. It checks the result against all of your registered conditions and allergies, out of 63 supported, and returns "Good to eat," "Eat with care," or "Better to skip," with a reason for each condition.
  • Barcode scanning: it uses Open Food Facts, and there is no limit on scans.
  • Meal log and daily rings: tap "I ate this" to log a meal. Your calories, sodium, and sugar show up in the daily intake rings, with 7-day and 30-day insights.
  • History and profile tools: search and filter your log, manage your condition and allergy profile, and set a daily reminder.

Update when you're ready

Say you're at the supermarket with a packaged snack in your hand. You could scan its barcode and read the verdict and the reason given for each of your conditions. If you eat out, you could photograph the plate instead. After the meal, you could log it to keep your daily rings up to date.

The app fits people managing diabetes, hypertension, gout, kidney conditions, or food allergies, and the family members who help them. AI analysis only runs after you give separate consent for health information. The app is not a medical device, and every result carries a disclaimer. Ads are shown, and Pro removes them and gives unlimited photo analysis. Check the in-app subscription screen for current pricing.
